CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A woman died after being stabbed during a large fight Friday night, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Officers were called to the 5200 block of IH 37 Access Road around 10:42 p.m. August 21 for a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found an injured woman. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Police said the preliminary investigation found that a large fight involving multiple people had broken out. During the altercation, the woman was stabbed.
Robbery Homicide detectives responded to the scene and identified 39-year-old Emilio Ybarra as the suspect.
Detectives obtained a murder warrant for Ybarra, who was later located on Treyway Lane and taken into custody without incident.
Ybarra was booked into the City Detention Center.
Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
