Corpus Christi officials held a public drawing to determine ballot order for 46 candidates ahead of the Nov. 3 city election.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The road to the Nov. 3 election is officially underway.
City officials held a public drawing today to determine the order of names on the ballot.
With 46 candidates in the running, each drew a number, either themselves or through a representative or family member, to find out where their name will appear.

“This is a lot of work and we put it into it because we really want the citizens to participate,” City Secretary Rebecca Huerta told 3NEWS. “Local elections, especially the city election that we touch, that’s a level of government that touches citizens the most. So, please come out and vote and– just have your voice be heard.”
The large field of candidates shows plenty of interest in this year’s election.
And a reminder: early voting begins Oct. 19. The ballot order is below:
