A Texas man was killed early Sunday morning in a single vehicle crash in Coosa County. Rickey T. Montz, 68, of Plano, Texas, was driving a 2013 Lincoln MKS when it left the roadway and struck an embankment. He was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened around 3 a.m. on Coosa County 42 near Coosa County 127, about five miles east of Rockford.
Alabama State Troopers are investigating.
