COOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) – A man from Texas died in a vehicle crash in Coosa County Sunday morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
According to Captain Jeremy Burkett, the crash happened around 3 a.m. on Coosa County 42 near Coosa County 217 just east of Rockford.
Ricky T. Montz, 68, was fatally injured after his vehicle left the roadway and struck and embankment, ALEA said.
First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the cause of the crash.
