About 30 cars in flames as crews battle Grand Prairie parking lot fire – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Grand Prairie Fire Department is battling a fire in a parking lot that has about 30 cars on fire, officials said.

The fire in the 1200 block of Avenue J East is still ongoing as of 4:30 p.m.

According to GPFD, the iniital call was for a grass fire. But after arrival, crews saw it was a fire in the parking lot of a commercial building for a warehouse. No structure has been affected by the fire.

Officials are still investigating the origin of the fire.

There have been no reported injuries.
