Six people displaced after fire at apartment complex on Eastside

SAN ANTONIO — Six people were displaced after a fire damaged an apartment complex, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

The fire started around 7 p.m. at an apartment complex on the city’s East Side near Nacogdoches and Judson roads.

Firefighters said it began on the second floor and spread into the attic.

All residents were accounted for. One person was evaluated by EMS but declined transport to a hospital.

Crews brought the fire under control after removing part of the ceiling to access the attic.
