LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lovington Wildcats are the first End Zone Team of the Week beating Goddard 20-14 in the season opener.
Dropping down to Class 4A, Lovington jumped out to a 13-0 lead with the offense led by Sophomore QB Miguel Perez.
Defensively the Wildcats forced 4 turnovers with Edgar Zubia getting 3 interceptions.
Head Coach Josh Bailey was pleased with the win, but next week they host State Champion Lubbock Christian on the blue turf.
