Flower Child is adding another North Texas address, and this time it’s heading to one of Plano’s busiest dining and shopping districts.
The healthy-eating restaurant is planned for The Shops at Legacy at 5700 Legacy Drive, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The project carries an estimated construction cost of $1.5 million.
Flower Child has built a following with its colorful, vegetable-forward menu of made-from-scratch salads, bowls, sandwiches and more. The menu offers plenty of options for different diets, including vegetarian and vegan choices, with customizable combinations of seasonal vegetables, fruits, grains and proteins such as chicken, salmon, steak, shrimp and tofu. Guests can also choose from signature lemonades, kombucha on tap, wine, seasonal sangrias and locally brewed beers.
A New 4,855-Square-Foot Restaurant
The new Flower Child will take over Suite A1, transforming an existing space into a 4,855-square-foot restaurant. Plans call for 3,931 square feet of interior space along with a 924-square-foot outdoor patio, giving diners the option to settle in outside when the weather cooperates.
The Plano location will add another option to the already busy dining scene surrounding Legacy Drive, where restaurants and retail draw visitors throughout the week.
When Will Flower Child Open?
Construction is scheduled to begin Dec. 15, 2026, with completion targeted for March 31, 2027. That puts the restaurant on track for a spring 2027 opening, although an official opening date has not yet been announced.
