Winter, 2025 is about to introduce itself to El Paso with a cold front and, (mayyyyybe), our first freeze of the year expected this weekend.

El Paso winters are fairly mild, (2025 is actually expected to be a tad warner than usual), but we will still have at least a few freezes. A cold front expected this weekend could drop our temp between 10 and 20 degrees.

Here are a few tips and some safety advice to survive Hell, (Paso), freezing over.

El Paso’s first freeze could happen this weekend when a cold front moves through the Borderland, bringing morning low temps on Sunday and Monday to around 40 degrees. It will also be windy which will make it seem even colder.

Will El Paso Freeze?

Probably not this weekend but, eventually, we will. The 915 typically gets its first freeze mid – November so ours may come next weekend but it’s doubtful that we’ll get it this weekend.  El Paso’s first “hard” freeze is usually near the end of November.
