The fall Activity Fair Day and Maverick Cookout will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Central Library mall, showcasing student organizations and campus resources.

Tristian Brooks, Student Activities coordinator in the Office of Student Organizations, said the event has had around 250 participating organizations, which vary from academic and professional associations to greek life and special category groups.

Campus resources and departments such as the Student Access and Resource Center and the Office of Information Technology will also be at the event to explain their services, Brooks said.

“Anybody who’s everybody is invited to come out and table to the UTA community,” he said.

The fall edition of the event will feature food options from Maverick Dining and Maverick Catering and various food trucks. Students will have the option between paying $4 or using a meal swipe for Maverick Dining, Brooks said.

To manage the heat during the outdoor event, water bottles and cooling stations will be available near dining options. Many organizations tend to distribute water and have their own cooling tents, he said.

“If any way we could get students connected to at least one organization to find some kind of affinity at UTA, that is great,” Brooks said.
