A local sports bar is turning to social media to track down a duo that broke in and allegedly left the business out of thousands of dollars.

The team behind the Deck on Fountainview posted surveillance video on Monday that appears to show two men who they claim “heavily burglarized” the bar, walking away with more than $7,000 in inventory and causing over $10,000 in structural damage.

The break-in apparently happened early Sunday morning around 4:45 a.m., nearly three hours after the sports bar typically closes.

“Seeing our home-away-from-home vandalized like this breaks our hearts, but it will not break our spirit. We have attached security footage photos of the individuals involved. We are working with a team at the Houston Police Department but we know the power of social media can help us too. If you recognize anyone in these pictures or have any information that could help, please reach out to us directly,” the Deck on Fountainview’s Facebook post with security footage stated.

“Small, locally owned businesses rely heavily on the strength of their community, especially during times like this. We are cleaned up, repaired as best as possible, and open for business…Every visit, share, and kind word means the world to our team right now as we work to recover from this setback.”

The sports bar’s team did not specify what was taken but shared photos of the damage in another post, along with close-up screenshots of the suspected burglars.

Chron has reached out for more information about the incident and the status of the investigation. We will update this story if and when we hear back.

The Deck on Fountainview is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., billing itself as a sports dive bar decked with several TVs inside and outside on its patio.
