Two injured in crash involving El Paso school district police car in the Northeast

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Two people were injured Monday morning after a crash in the Northeast involving an El Paso school district police car.

The crash happened at the intersection near Sean Haggerty and US-54.

According to the El Paso Fire Department, two people suffered minor injuries.

The El Paso Independent School District confirmed that the officer didn’t suffer serious injuries and said the crash is still under investigation.

Meanwhile, dashcam video and photos of the crash were shared on the popular social media account @therealfitfamelpaso.

The video appears to show the EPISD unit running a red light while flashing its emergency lights when it gets hit by a white pickup truck.
