Trinity High School placed on lockdown Friday after reports of possible weapon on campus

Police say their investigation found the threat not credible, and no weapons were found at the school.

EULESS, Texas — Three juveniles were arrested Friday afternoon after Trinity High School in Euless was placed on lockdown due to reports of a possible weapon on campus, police say.

According to the Euless Police Department, officers responded to the reports at 3:58 p.m. Friday, at which time school administrators quickly began lockdown procedures.

The three juveniles were arrested minutes after the first report, officials said. After securing the scene, the reported threat was confirmed not credible, and no weapons were found to be at the school. 

School officials lifted the lockdown afterward, officials said, with students and staff eventually dismissed for the day. 

None of the three juveniles were Trinity High School students, police say. They haven’t been identified and potential charges are still pending.

This was the second school to be placed on lockdown Friday in the metroplex after fireworks prompted a report of possible gunfire at Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, officials say.
