For many years, the dating world has been dominated by apps that made dating itself much less personal. The discourse online and reflected back in surveys around the country was that women were tired of being approached in person. However, the discussion has been changing and the data is showing a big shift in the way women want to be approached, but data for single men shows an opposing trend.

Even personal vlogs from singles in El Paso prove that women no longer want to use apps, and are asking to be approached in person again! Surveys and recent data have shown that roughly 75% of single women want to be approached in person. Unfortunately, about 45% of men say they have NEVER approached a woman in person to begin with.

There has also been a huge shift in dating trends that has seen singles going to more in-person dating events. Stuff like themed speed dating or events meant to help pair people up and give them organic ways to spark a conversation and see if anything sticks. Even El Paso has seen more of these events but it has not come with a surge of success stories mostly due to the gender imbalance. The bigger issue here is that despite the rise in dating events, most men are not attending them.

Statistically, over half of all single men report they no longer approach women in public over fears of being perceived as “creepy” which has been a discourse among men online for years now. More studies recently have shown that a significant portion of men are also immensely shy meaning that even the few who attend real life dating events are typically not initiating conversation or connection.

Single El Paso Men: This is a message to all of you out there struggling for connection! Start washing your ass and your legs, dress like you care about yourself, and stop getting Edgar haircuts. Then get the hell out there and start talking to women in person again! The studies show that the ladies actually want to talk to you! Shoot your shot, King!
