The principal of Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School was placed on administrative leave, and the school is now under new leadership.
District officials sent a letter to families that said principal Paola Rodriguez was on a leave of absence. Rian Townsend, an executive director for Fort Worth ISD, will serve as the acting principal, the district said in a statement.
The district said it could not disclose why Rodriguez was on leave, as it involves personnel information.
During the first week of school, a Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School teacher was placed on leave over allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student. The district did not answer whether the two cases are related.
“The district’s priority remains ensuring that Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School continues to provide a safe, supportive and academically focused environment for every student,” the district said in a statement.
