SAN ANTONIO — Police are seeking information to identify a suspect accused of robbing and assaulting an employee at a clothing store on the city’s East Side.
The robbery happened around 3 p.m. on May 12 at the Rainbow clothing store at 1842 S. W.W. White Road.
Police said the suspect selected several items and tried to leave through the front entrance without paying. When a 56-year-old sales associate attempted to recover the merchandise, the suspect allegedly assaulted the employee, causing an injury.
Employees described the suspect as a man wearing women’s clothing, including a wig.
