ARLINGTON, Tex. (KPTV) – The Portland Fire headed to Dallas for their third regular season game against the Wings, who could secure the final playoff spot with a win in Tuesday’s matchup.
The Fire hold the ninth spot in the league standings ahead of Tuesday’s game, and are 6.5 games behind the Wings for the final playoff spot.
With seven games left in the regular season, a win for the Fire would mean mathematically keeping playoff chances alive, while a loss would eliminate them from playoff contention.
The Fire will be without center Serah Williams in their game against the Wings due to illness.
