Plano police say the arrest comes after a welfare check call in the 4700 block of Charles Place

PLANO, Texas — A North Texas man has been arrested after police say they found his wife dead at their home, according to Plano Police. 

Police say officers were called to the 4700 block of Charles Place after getting a call from a welfare concern call regarding potential family violence. The caller told police they were unable to make contact with a woman and asked for the welfare check. 

When officers arrived on scene, they found the body of a woman at the home. Police say her husband was arrested at the scene and charged with Abuse of a Corpse Without Authorization and taken to the Plano City Jail.

Police have not identified either person involved in this case, but say additional charges could be filed against the man. 

Plano Police say the case in being investigated by their Crimes Against Persons Unit.
