A driver was killed after crashing into the back of a USPS truck late Tuesday night in northwest Houston, according to the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office.
The crash happened around 10:10 p.m. Aug. 25 near 10001 West Sam Houston Parkway North, in front of Grace Church.
According to Precinct 5 officials, the driver of a passenger vehicle allegedly hit the back of a USPS 18-wheeler, causing the truck to roll over.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was ejected in the crash and died.
Other people inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries, according to authorities.
The USPS driver’s condition was not immediately available.
Photos from the scene showed the passenger vehicle hanging over the edge of an overpass following the crash.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the suspected intoxication of the driver.
