According to Grand Prairie Police on the scene, one of their officers was injured. That officer was transported to the hospital for their injuries.
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — A Grand Prairie Police Officer was injured after a chase that started in North Richland Hills ended in their jurisdiction overnight, officials say.
North Richland Hills Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a sedan around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Rufe Snow and Dick Lewis, police said in a press release. The driver failed to stop and kept driving onto eastbound Loop 820, which wove through several cities including Arlington and Grand Prairie.
Officers lost sight of the vehicle but later located it in Grand Prairie. According to Grand Prairie Police on scene, one of their officers was injured. That officer was transported to the hospital for their injuries.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation. It’s not clear how the officer was injured.
