EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A crash involving a semitrailer and a pedestrian has left one person dead Wednesday night, according to the El Paso Police Department.

EPPD said the call came in at 9:12 p.m., and the Special Traffic Investigations unit is responding to the scene.

Westbound traffic is also being diverted at Zaragoza as the investigation continues.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, all westbound lanes of Interstate 10 West at Lee Trevino are closed, with traffic to follow a detour.

The agency did not provide an estimated time for the lanes to reopen, listing the clearing time as “until further notice.”
