The Dallas Stars appeared alongside an up-and-coming country music artist in an answer on the famous quiz show “Jeopardy.”

In the $200 answer for the category “Recent Country Music” — so, you know, what should be the easiest one to get — the Stars factored into the clue read by host Ken Jennings.

The answer: “Hockey’s Dallas Stars are among many proud Ella’s Fellas, fans of her”

If you responded “Who is [Ella] Langley?” you would be correct, as was one of the contestants in Wednesday night’s episode.

Yes, it seems the Stars and Langley, the 27-year-old singer of “Choosin’ Texas,” might be forever tied together.

The Stars’ Langley fandom coincided with a social media trend where men started calling themselves “Ella’s Fellas,” dancing to her songs on TikTok and other social media platforms.

Alas, the song didn’t lift them to the heights that, say, Creed’s “Higher” did for the 2023 Rangers, who won their first World Series with the 1999 jam as their team song. The Stars’ season fell short in the first round of the playoffs.

But with a new season right around the corner, it might be time to crank up “Choosin’ Texas” again — unless there’s some other bop planned as the team song in 2026-27.
