The strong winds will dry out the atmosphere, this leaves Houston with no moisture heightening the risk for Fire Danger. The National Weather Service issued a Fire Watch for SE Texas starting Sunday morning ending Monday evening.

This is ahead of a super cold Tuesday morning. We could see a few locations in the Brazos Valley and Piney Woods in the mid-to-lower 30s which means a frost advisory isn’t out of the question.

Monday will be a genuinely cold day for us with highs in the upper-50s. Now if you like the cold, make sure to enjoy Monday. This cold blast won’t last long and by the middle of next week we’ll be back to near 80 degrees. We are in Houston after all.
