North Texas families looking to add a four-legged member to their household will have an opportunity to adopt a pet without paying an adoption fee this weekend.
The Humane Society of North Texas will host a special pet adoption event on Saturday, August 29, at its Keller Regional Adoption Center. Adoption fees for all puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats will be covered by D&M Leasing during the event as part of the company’s 50th anniversary celebration.
The event, called the 50th Birthday Pawty & Pet Adoption Event, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shelter, located at 330 Rufe Snow Drive in Keller.
Adoption Fees Covered for All Eligible Pets
Families who adopt during the event will not have to pay the standard adoption fee for the dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens included in the promotion. Standard adoption screening procedures will apply.
Each adopted pet will also go home with a swag bag containing toys, treats, and other supplies to help the animal transition into its new home.
The event is intended to help more shelter animals find permanent homes while connecting North Texas families with pets in need.
“We are thrilled to partner with D&M Leasing for such a special milestone,” said Cassie Davidson, vice president of marketing, communications and public relations for the Humane Society of North Texas.
Davidson said the partnership will help pets find loving homes and provide a meaningful way to support animals and families in the region.
Humane Society of North Texas Helps Animals in Need
The Humane Society of North Texas has worked in the region since 1905, with a mission to save, shelter, protect, and advocate for animals in need. The independent nonprofit relies on community support to provide a safe place for abused, injured, and homeless animals.
The Keller event offers prospective adopters a chance to meet available pets and potentially give a shelter animal a permanent home.
