The season of giving starts early with the return of North Texas Giving Day! NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 are proud to sponsor Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day, the largest community-wide giving event in the nation.
Giving to any of the 3,300 participating local nonprofits officially opens August 27 at NorthTexasGivingDay.org and culminates on September 17. Thanks to generous givers and sponsors, Communities Foundation of Texas covers all transaction and technology fees, ensuring 100% of each donation goes directly to nonprofits!
Last year, more than 100,000 North Texans helped Communities Foundation of Texas raise $78 million for more than 3,000 local nonprofits that serve causes such as education, health, social services, arts, environment, and animal welfare. Since its launch in 2009, North Texas Giving Day has raised more than $712 million in crucial funds.
Every donation, whether big or small, has a lasting impact on local nonprofits. But the need doesn’t stop on September 17. Donors are encouraged to give year-round to support their favorite nonprofit.
