A 48-year-old man was shot three times on Friday in a section of east Fort Worth in which businesses are mixed with houses, police said.

The man was fired upon about 11 a.m. in the 4200 block of Littlejohn Avenue.

The victim was taken to a hospital and at midday was in a stable condition, said Officer Tracy Carter, a Fort Worth police spokesperson.

The assailant’s vehicle was spotted on the south side of the city, and officers were looking for the assailant, Carter said.
