EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police and the airport are celebrating a new K9 explosives team.

On Thursday, the El Paso Police Department took to social media to congratulate Officer Martinez and his new K9 partner Odi for graduating from the 12-week TSA Explosives Detection Canine Handler Course.

According to EPPD, Martinez earned the honor of class leader for his academic and practical training performance.

Along with congratulating Martinez and Odi, EPPD also gave a “shoutout” to Sgt. Flores, who was chosen to serve as the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony, from all the K9 supervisors in the U.S.
