AMC Theatres is honoring Dolly Parton by putting two of her films back in movie theaters.
Parton died on Tuesday, Aug. 25, after a brief battle with cancer. The 80-year-old left a lasting legacy wherever she went, including in Fort Worth and North Texas, where she performed frequently.
AMC CEO Adam Aron announced on Thursday, Aug. 27, that the theater chain is sending 1982’s “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” and 1989s “Steel Magnolias” into about 200 multiplexes across the country.
There are a handful of North Texas theaters will that screen both films this weekend and into next week. Here’s what to know.
