Officers say the eastbound lanes of SH121 were closed for several hours during the investigation.
PLANO, Texas — Plano police say a 37-year-old woman has died after running across State Highway 121 near the Stonebriar Centre in Plano.
Officers say the woman ran across the westbound lanes and made it to the eastbound access road near the intersection of Ohio Dr. before she was hit by an SUV. That driver was uninjured and stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
In a statement, PPD identified the woman as Plano resident Christiana Vasquez. They say witnesses and the initial responding officers attempted lifesaving measures on scene but were not successful.
