MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -In his second act as Whitehaven’s head coach, Stan Collins picked up his first victory at the helm of the Tigers in nearly 30 years. Whitehaven took care of business against Houston in our Friday Football Fever game of the week, 43-28.
The game was a back-and-forth affair throughout, with the Tigers taking a 28-14 third quarter lead, just for the Mustangs to score 14 straight points to tie the game. From there, Whitehaven’s high-powered offense–led by talented junior quarterback Jourdin Shelton, took control, and score 15 unanswered points of their own to pull away and win 43-28.
