San Antonio businesses are picking up the pieces Saturday morning after powerful overnight storms swept through the city.
Restaurants and attractions have announced closures Saturday, August 29, as they deal with flooding, property damage and power outages left behind by the storms.
MySA is tracking closures across San Antonio and will update this list as businesses make changes to their hours.
Morgan’s Wonderland will be closed Saturday due to inclement weather, the theme park shared on social media. The park cited the safety of guests and staff and encouraged visitors to check its social media for updates.
Santikos Entertainment said its Galaxy theater is temporarily closed due to a power outage. The theater is working to restore power and said it will provide an update when the location is ready to reopen.
The Cove announced it will be closed until further notice after sustaining damage during the overnight storms. The restaurant said its dining room flooded, fencing was damaged and several signs were blown from the property.
“Thank you for your patience, your support, and for loving this weird little place as much as we do,” The Cove wrote. “Stay safe, San Antonio. We’ll see y’all soon.”
Panifico Bake Shop will be closed until further notice after losing power during the storms, the Westside bakery shared on Instagram. The business did not provide an estimated reopening time.
Silhouette Coffee shared in an Instagram Story that it will close for the day due to a power outage. “Yeah it’s not looking good,” the coffee shop wrote alongside a screenshot of the CPS Energy outage map.
University Health is delaying operations at its Robert B. Green Campus due to a power outage. The health system said operations will resume once electricity is restored.
The Witte Museum announced it is closed Saturday due to recent inclement weather. The museum said it is making minor repairs and plans to reopen Sunday.
