I grew up in Fort Worth, but have lived in different neighborhoods.
I went to South Hills Elementary, W.P. McLean Middle School and R.L. Paschal High School. My parents were divorced so I moved from one parent to the other halfway through my freshman year of high school. I lived in Clifton, Texas, then went to Tarleton State University for a year before coming back to Fort Worth and pursuing cosmetology at Ogle Beauty School.
I got married, had kids and lived in the north Crowley area until 2007. The area just wasn’t what it was when we first moved there, so I found a house in Arlington Heights — where I’ve lived for about 15 years now. My daughter graduated from Arlington Heights High School.
This has been the quietest neighborhood I’ve ever lived in, and truly feel safest here. Day or night.
Some of my favorite places are Curly’s Frozen Custard — where my daughter had her first job. You also can’t go wrong with Kincaid’s Hamburgers.
I love being five to seven minutes from four great museums. I’m also close to downtown, 7th Street, Near Southside and The Shops at Clearfork. I feel like this area is central to Fort Worth and the social things I do.
I love the boutique shops up and down Camp Bowie Boulevard. There’s lots of great walking areas and beautiful parks in the neighborhood.
My son and daughter have given me three beautiful grandkids with one on the way. This is an easy neighborhood to find lots of things to do with the kiddos.
