SAN ANTONIO – Storm damage is being assessed at The Salvation Army’s downtown San Antonio location that houses its women’s and family shelter.
In a press release, the organization said its facility at the corner of Elmira Street and North Flores, just north of downtown, “experienced damage from the storm” and is “currently assessing the roof and other structural damage.”

The facility operates as the Salvation Army Center of Home Corps Worship Center as well as the Women and Children’s Shelter, providing housing for over 100 people in need.
The site also serves as the San Antonio Social Services Center. It remains unclear when services will be restored and which services have been interrupted.
