The man ended up with a gunshot wound to his lower body, officers say
SAN ANTONIO – A 24-year-old man was hospitalized early Friday morning after a drive-by shooting at a South Side apartment complex, according to San Antonio police.
Officers responded to the shooting around 4 a.m. in the 6400 block of South New Braunfels Avenue, which is located not far from Clark Avenue.
Upon arrival, the officers found the man with an apparent gunshot wound to his lower body, an SAPD preliminary report said.
The man told investigators that someone in an unknown vehicle shot in the direction where he was seated, the report said.
Witnesses told SAPD they were at a pool party at the complex. At some point, a vehicle entered the property and someone inside fired shots toward the pool area, police said.
Police stated that the man was later taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers could not provide any information on the shooter.
