One person was injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in northwest Fort Worth, officials with the Fort Worth Police Department said.
Officers responded to the report of the shooting in the 2200 block of North Houston Street at 4:38 a.m. Saturday, a police spokesperson said. There, they found one victim with a gunshot wound to the ankle.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said. Gun violence detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
