SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — Fire and emergency crews responded to Mt. Cristo Rey early Saturday after a 34-year-old man fell approximately 25 feet into jagged rocks.

The call was dispatched at approximately 3:25 a.m., according to Doña Ana County Public Safety.

Fire units, along with U.S. Army personnel and U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector agents, worked together to rescue the man.

He was then transferred to El Paso Fire Department’s Fire Star 1 and flown to University Medical Center in stable condition.
