Dallas will see another day of hot and sunny weather Sunday, as temperatures will soar into the triple digits, according to a forecast from the National Weather Service’s office in Fort Worth.
Sunday’s forecast will have a high of 103 degrees in the afternoon, though it could feel closer to 105 degrees in some spots. Temperatures will reach a low of 79 degrees at night, according to the weather service.

There is an elevated fire danger across the region. High temperatures and dry heat could cause any fire to spread rapidly. The weather service advises against leaving any fire burning unattended or unnecessarily. Residents should also not toss lit cigarettes or drive over tall grass, because of the ongoing conditions.
Most counties in North Texas have a burn ban in place to prevent wildfires. Firefighters are already battling the Ross fire, an about 85,000-acre blaze roughly 100 miles west of Dallas.

Drought conditions are also expected to get worse, according to the weather service’s forecast. As of Saturday, the area around the DFW Airport has been on 45-streak of having no measurable precipitation, which means there hasn’t been any precipitation more than 0.01 inches.
