SAN ANTONIO — A teen was hospitalized after being shot near a backyard house party on the city’s East Side
The shooting happened at approximately 9:39 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Monumental Street.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called to the location for a shooting and found a 16-year-old had been shot in the arm.
A small house party had been taking place in the backyard of the home when those gathered heard the gunfire. Police spoke with people at the gathering and determined the shots appeared to have come from a wooded area behind the residence.
Officers searched the area but couldn’t find a suspect.
The teenager was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
