SAN ANTONIO — Three people were hospitalized after a suspected intoxicated driver slammed into a car stopped at a red light on the city’s Northwest Side.
The crash happened at approximately 11:01 p.m. Saturday in the 14000 block of FM 1560 North.
According to SAPD, a vehicle was stopped at a red light when another struck it from behind at high speed.
The driver of the stopped vehicle and a passenger inside were injured in the crash. The driver who struck it was also hurt.
All three were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The driver who hit the other vehicle was determined to be intoxicated following the crash and was taken into custody on an intoxication assault charge.
