EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — On Saturday morning, the Border Network for Human Rights partnered with the El Paso Police Department to host its second community forum on policy knowledge.
According to BNHR officials, the goal of the forum was to provide the community with a better understanding of the Internal Disciplinary Review Board, use-of-force policies, and the Crisis Intervention Team.
Some of the questions they were asking had to do with family violence, had to do with response times, had to do with immigration. Different topics that affect them on a regular basis, and I think we had a very good conversation; 1788129368 they better understand. And at the very least have the resources to know where to go when they have questions. Says Juan Briones, Assistant Chief, El Paso Police Department.

The next BNHR forum will be held Thursday, September 10, at 6:00 p.m. at the Johnson Community Center.
