Residents evacuated, power lines down after tree crash at North Side apartments

SAN ANTONIO — Several residents were evacuated after storms caused a large tree to come crashing down on a North Side apartment building.

San Antonio firefighters and police responded before 10 p.m. Friday to the 11200 block of Perrin Beitel near Wurzbach Parkway.

Residents were evacuated as crews checked the damage and structural integrity of the building.

CPS Energy crews were also notified about some power lines that were knocked down by the tree.

No injuries were reported.
