SAFD: No injuries reported, fire under control quickly

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department is searching for a man suspected of intentionally setting fire to an East Side apartment complex Sunday night.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, went to the Diamante Apartments complex around 7 p.m. to look for someone, police said, before he allegedly set the apartment on fire and fled.

The apartment, located on East Commerce near the intersection of Interstate 10, was vacant at the time of the fire, police said. No injuries were reported, SAFD said, and confirmed that its arson unit is investigating.
