Two more Dallas Stars legends will join the team’s Hall of Fame before the end of the year.
Marty Turco and Les Jackson will be the inductees into the Stars Hall of Fame in 2026, the team announced Monday. The duo will be inducted Thursday, Dec. 10, and honored ahead of the Stars’ Dec. 12 home game against the St. Louis Blues.
Turco, who is this year’s player inductee, spent the first nine seasons of his 11-year NHL career with the Stars as a goalie. He appeared in over 500 career NHL games, posting a .910 career save percentage and 2.36 goals-against average.
He holds the club records for most games played by a goaltender (509), most wins (262), most wins in a season (41) and career shutouts (40).
The goalie took over for Ed Belfour as the team’s starter in the 2002-03 season where he ended the season with a 1.72 goals-against average, setting a modern NHL record at the time. He finished second in the Vezina voting behind Martin Brodeur.
In 2007, Turco also tied an NHL record for shutouts in a playoff series with three in the 2007 first-round series against the Vancouver Canucks and set a franchise record for playoff shutout streak (165:45), helping Dallas force a Game 7 after falling behind 3-1 in the series — the only time the Stars have done so since moving to Dallas.
Turco has since rejoined the Stars organization as President of the Dallas Stars Foundation.
Jackson, this year’s builder inductee, was the longest-tenured employee in franchise history, spending over three decades with the Stars.
He joined the Minnesota North Stars as an assistant coach in 1985 and remained with the team until 1999 before rejoining the team a year later in 2000. He was named co-general manager alongside Brett Hull in 2007 and served in that role until 2009 when the Stars hired Joe Nieuwendyk.
Jackson held several front office roles during his time with the Stars before ultimately leaving the organization in 2020. He then joined the Florida Panthers where he won the Stanley Cup in 2024.
The Stars created the team’s Hall of Fame in 2022. Each year, a selection committee of team staff and media selects one player (skater/goaltender) and one builder (executive level staff/coach) to be inducted.
Any player who had his number retired by the Stars received immediate inclusion into the Dallas Stars Hall of Fame. Similarly, all owners of the club received automatic induction as builders.
Previous classes included Nieuwendyk and Ralph Strangis in 2025, Brenden Morrow and Jim Lites in 2024, Belfour and Ken Hitchcock in 2023, and Derian Hatcher and Bob Gainey in 2022.
