This past weekend, my family and I went together to watch a screening of Ghost 2Big2Rig. Next to me was a single young person who had gone to the theater by themselves. This person asked me, “Is Ghost a new band?” to which I answered, “Oh no, they’ve had 6 or seven albums,” which was a great guess on my part because they’ve had six.

A Brave Lubbock Kid
This adorable person went on to tell me they’ve never heard Ghost and have never seen a concert film, but read the description and thought they’d give it a try. I’ve Been This Brave Kid, Too, And I Should Be Again
I always have to laugh when people say they could never (insert fun activity here) alone. I actually love doing some things alone, so long as I can motivate myself to leave the house. I particularly like eating a meal alone in a restaurant, as it allows me to truly savor and appreciate my food, the moment, and being alive. I also deeply crave ambient noise like silverware clinking and the low murmur of conversations I can’t hear. If you want to try this some time, my favorite place to do this is Italian Garden- there’s something special about the acoustics in that building.
See The Show, Watch The Movie, Eat The Food
As long as you can go out on your own safely, I dare you to “go it alone” every once in a while. I bet you begin to crave it, as I do. Don’t let life pass you by because your friend/ partner/ whatever is busy during that time- you may meet some new friends or enjoy the solitude if you dare to go it alone.
