Two ways to have fun and do some good in Dallas this weekend.
If you’d like your weekend fun to have some do-good with that recreation, there are two opportunities Saturday.
Every year, Clifford and Joyce Sherman and the LG Pinkston Class of 1969 host an ice cream social to raise funds for a great cause. Every cone or bowl sold and every donation goes to providing laptops and printers to graduating Pinkston High seniors as they head into the workforce and college. If you follow the news about healthcare and insurance premiums, you know that Prism Health North Texas does good work. The community health centers offer affordable medical care, STI/HIV testing and treatment, women’s and pediatric care, dental services, mental health counseling, and more, regardless of whether a patient can pay. The nonprofit will host its Clover Classic at the Round-Up Saloon on 3912 Cedar Springs on Saturday. Participating golfers will play mini golf holes designed by sponsors or the staff and ownership of bars, restaurants, and businesses before heading to the “19th Hole” after-party and awards ceremony, which includes a $1,000 cash prize, an award for the best hole, an award for the best dressed, and more.
