The Arlington Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of an adult male.
On Thursday, August 27, 2026, at approximately 9:08 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Arkansas Lane after receiving reports that a sedan had crashed into a dumpster enclosure at a business.
Investigators determined the vehicle was traveling eastbound along Arkansas Lane when it crossed the center median and westbound lanes of traffic, traveled through a grassy area near the intersection of Arkansas Lane & Southgate Street, crossed Southgate Street, and struck the dumpster enclosure.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was found unresponsive. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Although the investigation remains ongoing, preliminary information indicates the driver may have experienced a medical event prior to the crash.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine an official cause / manner of death and will release the man’s name.
