Flood watch and a tropical storm warning are in effect Tuesday

Tropical Storm Edouard has formed in the Gulf.
It should make landfall late Tuesday morning bringing heavy rain and gusty winds to part of Southeast Texas.
A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Chambers County including the Bolivar Peninsula and the cities of High Island and Crystal Beach. Winds will gust above 40 mph.
A Flood Watch is also in effect for the eastern half of Southeast Texas starting late Monday and lasting through Wednesday morning. 3-5 inches of rain with isolated amounts of 6 to 9 inches are expected with the highest totals occurring east of I-45.

Tuesday morning the tropical rain reaches the southeast Texas coast and continues to move inland through the day. The best chance of rain for Houston is expected to be around midday. The greatest chances for flooding is east of I-45.
