HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) — A puppy is recovering after a young boy named Logan discovered the animal trapped deep inside a storm drain, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputies responded to the 14400 block of Cypress Rosehill Road Sunday night after Logan found the puppy.
Deputies transported the puppy to the Animal ER of Northwest Houston. No microchip was found on the puppy. Staff at the hospital removed its matted fur, trimmed its nails and provided deworming treatment.

The puppy is now recovering and attended roll call with deputies, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.
