An education software company is opening a new office in Plano next year.

A PowerSchool spokesperson said the company is expanding its presence in Plano as part of a growth strategy to serve K-12 customers around the world. The spokesperson said multiple executive leaders in the company call Plano home and the company is operating in a temporary space while its official headquarters is constructed.

The company is opening its new office along Headquarters Drive using two floors of an office building for a total of 49,606 square-feet, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The spokesperson said the new office is expected to open in 2027.

PowerSchool provides educators with cloud-based technology from enrollment purposes to keeping students on track for graduation, according to its website. The California-based company is currently partnered with school districts like Denton ISD to process new student enrollments and turnover rates.
