Right On Crime Announces Jenna Lewis as New Texas State Director

(Austin, TX) – Right On Crime, a national campaign of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, proudly announces Jenna Lewis as their new Texas State Director. With more than a decade of experience in criminal law, public policy, and government, she brings extensive prosecutorial, legislative, and anti-human trafficking expertise to the role.

As Texas State Director, Lewis will lead Right On Crime’s efforts to advance conservative criminal justice solutions across the state, working with policymakers and stakeholders to promote policies that prioritize public safety, accountability, and victim protection.

“Jenna brings a rare combination of experience to Right On Crime. She has stood in the courtroom as a prosecutor, worked directly on criminal justice policy in the Texas Legislature, and fought to protect victims of human trafficking,” said Brett Tolman, Executive Director of Right On Crime and former U.S. Attorney. “She understands that public safety and protecting victims must be at the center of our justice system, and she knows what it takes to turn good policy into meaningful results.”

Lewis joins Right On Crime after nearly five years in the Texas Legislature, most recently serving as General Counsel for State Senator Tan Parker, where she worked on legislation addressing criminal justice, anti-human trafficking, child protection, and public safety. She was instrumental in advancing an affirmative defense for trafficking victims in Texas and previously served as Policy Counsel for Atlas Free, working with lawmakers, law enforcement, prosecutors, advocates, and survivors to develop anti-trafficking policy.

Before entering public policy, Lewis served as a prosecutor in Ventura County, California, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges facing victims, law enforcement, prosecutors, and communities. Her experience continues to inform her commitment to policies that protect public safety, hold offenders accountable, and ensure victims are protected.

“I’m honored to join Right On Crime and have the opportunity to serve Texas in this role,” said Lewis. “My career has given me a unique perspective on our justice system and reinforced my belief that we can pursue public safety in a principled and effective way.
